Display Descriptions

By default, descriptions added to project elements are not added to the report. More about descriptions, see Project Documentation - Description. To add descriptions to the report, you can either use the Report Meta Information assesslet or a Report Paragraph assesslet.

Using the Report Meta Information assesslet

Add a Report Meta Information assesslet, see Assesslets - Report Meta Information. Select the Include test case description checkbox.

Add test case description to the report

The description of variants or variant group, or of test case groups is automatically inherited by the test cases. Both are not automatically added to the report.

Select the Show inherited description from variants/variant groups checkbox to show the description of variant and variant groups in the report. Select the Show inherited description from test case groups checkbox to add test case group descriptions to the test case report. It does not matter if those descriptions are made visible in the Description view.

Using the Report Paragraph assesslet

You can use a Report Paragraph assesslet to add the description to the report. The text will be displayed unformatted. Add a Report Paragraph assesslet, see Assesslets - Report Paragraph. Select the Comment checkbox. Enter ${tpt.scenario.inheritedcomment}.
